Angelina Jolie is considered “brave” because she underwent a double mastectomy for possible cancer risks…

If a FTM man wants to get top surgery they’re all of a sudden shunned…

The difference is that she is continuing to live her life as a woman and is not changing her sexual characteristics in anyway.  She also had reconstructive surgery with implants to still have breasts.

Okay, so I know that I said I wanted a slow-acting form of T. I know that I said I wasn’t ready for changes to happen quickly. I know that I said I needed time to adjust to the changes my body will be making.

Yeah, no.

I’m thinking that I really should have gone with injectable T. I mean, the patches are fine. They’re not terriby comfortable, but at least I’m not having to stab myself at home every 10 days. And I travel for academic stuff frequently, it going to make traveling with my meds easier.

But seriously. I want changes to happen faster, but I never have been that patient, have I?

:-[

Even on injectable changes don’t happen at light speed or anything.

They’ve been claiming to have major changes since D1 and they’re only four days on T, too.

LOL really?  ”I’v been having major changes since day one but changes are too slow!!!!!!!!!!”

My mom doesn’t even know I’m taking T

royalhighnessratchet:

it’s been a month jdhlgkdfljgdf

WOW MOM YOU DON’T NOTICE SHIT.

You said it yourself: It’s been a MONTH.  Any changes you’ve had so far are likely minor and not something that will be extremely noticeable.  If you want her to know you are on T, tell her.

I don’t know how i should feel about this…

boykayden:

Is it worse that the girl i am dating called me with all neutral pronouns than just saying male ones?

Like if she is making the effort to call me neutral pronouns surly she should just use male ones if she believes i am a guy… right?

Does she know you use or prefer male pronouns?  If so I’d ask her why she used neutral pronouns when she knows you use or prefer male pronouns

Cathy Brennan’s *women’s* law office is about an hour and a half from my house, I should pop in one day and see if she notices that I am a transsexual, since, you know, she’s so good at spotting them.

shock of my life when I found out she’s a lawyer.

Their skin’s become thicker/harder on T? I feel like it’s more painful to do my jab because it takes more to put through the needle? I dunno maybe I was just more forceful at first.

It does thicken the skin.  That and scar tissue builds up over time in injection sites.

I would have actually thought someone would know this before taking testosterone to be honest. You should be aware of all possible changes to your body before you do anything irreversible to it.

You’d be surprised the amount of things people neglect to find out/think about before starting HRT.

My fathers friends coworker is head of the department that deals with transitioning, operations and assessment at the hospital I go to. And so my father tells me that they told him that apparently most trans people have cold hands…

I don’t know if this is true or not, but if it is then good for us I guess.

How is that even a thing?

I don’t believe that is true.

For trans-guys on T…

What’s your dosage, and how often do you get your shot?

I feel like my dose is quite low, so I’m curious.. ?

You can’t compare your dose to that of other people.  People are all different with different hormonal needs. Your doctor is able to pick the best dose to prescribe you through bloodwork he does on you.
